Program Eligibility

To qualify for the FortisBC dual fuel heating system rebate program, the following conditions must be met:

• The home must have a FortisBC natural gas or propane account. 

• If the property owner is not the utility account holder (e.g., in landlord-tenant situations), the Utility Account Holder Consent form must be completed.

• The home must be a primary residence, at least 12 months old, and either a single-family home, duplex, townhouse, or mobile home on a permanent foundation. New construction, additions, and garage upgrades are not eligible.

• Applications must be submitted within six months of the invoice date.

• The rebate cannot exceed the cost shown on the paid invoice.

Dual Fuel System $5,000 SEER ≥ 16; HSPF (Region IV) ≥ 10.00 or SEER2 ≥ 15.20; HSPF2 (Region IV) ≥ 8.50. Variable speed compressor not required. Minimum capacity: 12,000 BTU.
